  1. hello, i just bought a 1996 chevy suburban from todd at dicks mackenzie ford 2 weeks ago. i was told by the sales man and the sales manager that this truck had nothing wrong with it and theyre top notch service dept. had gone over the truck and found nothing, otherwise it would have been wholesaled. I was also told that the brakes have to be at least 50% to pass their inspection. i trusted them and paid cash for my new truck. about a week into driving it i noticed a horrific sound and turns out i needed an entire bottle of power steering fluid….then another a few days later. then i notice i was unable to stop quickly and a knocking under my foot! With all of this going on i made an appt. with my mechanic and called DMF to find out when the last oil change was, figured i needed to cover all my bases to keep this rig running good! i am a disabled single mother and used my disability check to buy this truck so i would have something safe for my kiddo’s. When i spoke with the service dept. about the oil change he told me he wasnt sure why but his guys hadnt done an oil change on it…they had only done a safety inspection. then i got the call from the mechanic stating it would be $1433.40 to fix my truck! I called and spoke with Scott the GM at DMF and told him what i learned. he said he would investigate and call me right back. well after waiting well over 24hrs and no call from him i left a message on his voicemail. today at around 3:30 he had his sales manager call me back only to tell me that i was crazy if i thought a truck with this many miles wouldnt have any problems and that none of this was wrong with it when it left theyre lot! i guess me driving it 500 miles around town is what made the front brake rotors below machine specs with a severe crack in the rotor & the CV axle boot torn wide open & all 4 tie rod ends are bad & the power steering fluid is spewing out of the bad hydro booster. Also the night i drove it off the lot i realized it had no fuel and i mean none! Once i got to the nearest gas station he told me my headlight was out…so i bought new ones on my way home from DMF only to find out that there wasnt even a bulb in it! This is the most devastating car purchase i have ever made!! and the people who manage the place were so rude and unwilling to help me in any way! i cant believe i spent all the money i had to buy this truck that now needs almost $1500 worth of work! not even counting the oil change i have to do to it because they did not! i feel like i have been kicked in the teeth by dicks mackenzie ford and they dont care!

    • Hello, I had previously posted a blog about my negative experience at Dicks Mackenzie Ford when i bought my Suburban. I am happy to be here and tell you that after my blog posted, i was contacted by Scott the GM at DMF. He asked that i come by the dealership and leave my truck so the service guys could take a look at it. When i arrived Shannon the VP was there to greet me along side Scott, they promised that this is not the way they do business and completely reassured me that they would make things right for me! That they did!!! Dicks MacKenzie Ford went above and beyond the call of duty and fixed my truck plus some! Not only did they take care of everything, they also kept me in the loop and called me with updates frequently. When i arrived to pick up my Suburban the service manager took me to the mechanic that worked on my rig and he took the time to explain all that was fixed in terms i could understand. Now i am very happy to say i will be returning to have all of my repairs done at DMF! They’re great customer service has turned me into a faithful return customer instead of an angry blogger!!! A SPECIAL THANK YOU TO SCOTT WILKINSON AND SHANNON INUKAI-CUFFEE & OF COURSE ROGER MACKENZIE FOR ALL THE HELP IN MAKING ME A LOYAL HAPPY CUSTOMER

Thanks for giving a disabled single mother the peace of mind, knowing her truck wont break down right after I purchased it,

      Christy Hatch

  2. Dick Mackenzie ford was such an awesome place to do business with. They worked very hard for me to get the best deal I could get. I was very happy when I left with my new car. The staff was very friendly and made me feel welcome. Juan Aguilar was an exceptonal sales person, very nice and friendly, I would buy a car from him anyday. I am really enjoying my new White Mustang convertible. Thank you so much. Sincerley J. Doney Thank you Scott for working so hard for me. You Rock! I am so happy with my payments and my beautiful car!

  3. We have done quite a bit of business with Mackenzie Ford over the years. I thought I would go back there because they have a vehicle we liked on their lot. The down side is that the fleet manager we dealt with all the time left (retired). After visiting here and test driving the vehicle we attempted to make an offer and have found they are unwilling to make any attempt to sell this vehicle. I made an offer last night and was told I would be contacted this morning and that has yet to happen as of 1320. This has by far been the worst experience I have had here and really feel let down. In the past, it was very easy to buy through them, however I would highly doubt I would return for future purchases.

    • Thank you for your comment and for your business in the past. We are sorry that we failed to get back to you in the time promised and sincerely appreciate your feedback. We make every effort to exceed our customer’s expectations and apologize that in this instance we did not meet yours. Would you kindly call one of our management team and we will do everything we can to accommodate you as our fleet manager has done in the past?
