Need another reason to head to the Detroit Auto Show next month? If you need a little extra motivation, the prospect of this little souvenir might tip the balance.
Ford will be handing out these little snap-kit models of the new Ford GT for free at the show this year. They’re built by Revell and consist of 14 pieces that even a kid could put together in just a few minutes. In fact the Blue Oval automaker will only give them out to kids. Or you could just wait until April when a more detailed version with 28 pieces – taking 10-15 minutes to build – will be available for sale for less than fifteen bucks.
Perennial show-goers may recall that Ford handed out similar kits in 2014 and 2015. It gave out Raptor model kits at this year’s show and Mustangs the year before. If you have a collection going – with or without your kids – the new supercarought to round it out beautifully.
